The Symphony of Psalms (original title Symphonie de Psaumes) is a 1930 composition by Igor' Fëdorovič Stravinsky for chorus and orchestra. Stravinsky was an intimately religious man; already at the beginning of the twenties, he was thinking of writing a mass, an intention that was realized only twenty years later. The Symphony of Psalms, written in these early years, is however his most famous religious work and is one of the masterpieces of the composer's neoclassical period.
