La Traviata

In the enchanting Teatro Ghione, in the pulsating heart of Rome, let yourself be carried away by the sublime voices of opera singers who will lead you by the hand through a timeless story, narrating the love found and then sacrificed between Alfredo and Violetta, in Giuseppe Verdi's renowned opera that touched the world: La Traviata!

Violetta Valéry, a young Parisian courtesan, decides to change her life for the love of Alfredo, to leave Paris, its luxuries, and its transgressions behind, and to move to the countryside. There, the two lovers live happily, but one day Alfredo's father, Germont, arrives: he asks Violetta to leave Alfredo forever because their inappropriate cohabitation risks ruining the marriage of his other daughter, Alfredo's sister. Violetta tries to resist, but in the end, convinced by Germont, she writes a farewell letter to Alfredo, explaining that she longs for Paris and her former life. Alfredo, overwhelmed by anger and disappointment, reaches her and publicly offends her by throwing money at her feet. Violetta, sick with tuberculosis, is now nearing the end of her life when Alfredo, learning the truth, comes to ask for her forgiveness.

After seeing him for the last time, Violetta passes away.
